Robert Bucknam is a renowned pediatrician with over three decades of experience in the medical field. Dr. Bucknam is best known for his internationally acclaimed book, On Becoming Baby Wise, which has sold millions of copies worldwide and is considered a parenting classic.

Born and raised in the United States, Dr. Bucknam earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1980. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where he served as Chief Resident. He then practiced pediatrics in Colorado for over 25 years, including 16 years in a single-physician practice where he was the sole pediatrician for over 10,000 patients.

In 1993, Dr. Bucknam co-authored On Becoming Baby Wise with fellow pediatrician Dr. Gary Ezzo.
